Just watched the USC highlights. Colorado almost came back and won it, Sanders is an outstanding QB leading a very explosive offense. Travis Hunter has been out, but they still have other gifted playmakers. How did Prime build this team so fast? Their D also shut out USC in the 4th.

ASU will have its hands full and will have to muster a special effort here. Too bad it's not a night game, but will be easier to watch at least for those of us with early bedtimes, if you can get there or watch on P12 Network.

I'll be looking for the release of the depth chart on Thursday to see who is out. Some positives from Cal to build on, TB's overall performance, OL did well in pass protection, D did pretty well against the pass, and got 2 sacks and 8 TFL's. Caleb McCullough really emerged as a potential star at linebacker with a great game.

But Colorado's offense is playing on a whole other level. Will need a great effort, a genius gameplan, a few breaks, some Co. mistakes and a little luck to win this one.

This feels like a really bad matchup for ASU. I thought Cal was a decent matchup and look what happened

Walk-on punter Race Mahlum is taking some snaps in front of Josh Carlson.

As it turns out, our punter Carlson has been nursing a hurt foot this year per KD at today's practice. That's why he hasn't been hitting 47 yarders like last year.

Look for more misdirection on offense this week per these comments...

Sounds like Jordan Clark is still out, but hey our third string nickelback is getting lots of reps, so that's good right?

Here's the list of walking wounded for the game.

Scratching my head a bit. It shows Jordan Clark as starting and he has been out. Clayton Smith too and he had to hop off the field last week on one leg.

Preview from the other side:

Also hearing on other shows, that Colorado isn't really strong up front. Their strengths are in their skilled positions and back end of their defense. SO ASU should be able to run the ball, and put pressure on their QB Sanders. May end up being a pretty good game! Probably a lot of points, maybe whoever has the ball last wins.

Colorado, not the best defense this year which gives me a bit of hope.

...last in the Pac12 in rush defense...

... last in the Pac12 in yards given up:

Last in the Pac12 in points allowed:

Last in the Pac12 in sacks

So ASU should have an easier time moving the ball, keeping it away from Colorado's offense and scoring points.

Their strength seems to be their passing came, which ASU has been in the top 5 defenses on https://www.espn.com/college-footba...able/passing/sort/passingYardsPerGame/dir/asc

So this should be a good game... I just wish they were playing at night, no real magic for these day games.
