The Colorado State football team has a very late addition to its freshman class.
And it's a big name from the Colorado high school football world.
Former Cherry Creek High School star running back Jayden Fox has joined the Rams in what amounts to a late flip from UCLA, where he originally signed. CSU coach Jim Mora announced Fox's addition after a scrimmage Aug. 15 and Fox is practicing with the Rams.
Fox was a dynamic star for powerhouse Cherry Creek. The Bruins went undefeated and won the Class 5A state title in 2025 and Fox racked up 1,746 rush yards in 14 games at a clip of 14.2 yards-per-carry.
He also had 284 receiving yards and scored 30 total touchdowns in 2025 (26 rushing). Fox was named CHSAA's 5A Player of the Year.
For his high school career, Fox had 4,245 rushing yards, 474 receiving yards, 5,106 all-purpose yards and 60 total touchdowns.
Fox was rated as a three-star recruit by 247Sports and the No. 13 player in his class in Colorado and the top-rated running back in the state. His composite ranking (0.8744) ties him as the 11th-best recruit in program history in the 247Sports all-time list.
