Colorado Buffaloes football coach Deion Sanders landed a 247Sports Composite 4-star receiver on Memorial Day with the commitment of Oceanside Collegiate Academy’s Jaiden Kelly-Murray. The Buffs had been trending for a flip from Kelly-Murray’s home-state South Carolina Gamecocks, and finally nabbed it on Monday.

Kelly-Murray shouted out Deion Sanders catch-phrase (“I ain’t hard 2 find”), plus Shedeur Sanders’ infamous rap song (“Perfect Timing”) in his commitment announcement: “Seems to me I wasn’t hard to find because it was perfect timing.” He made the announcement on CBS Sports' YouTube channel.

With the commitment, Sanders continues to strengthen his most well-recruited position throughout the years in Boulder. Coach Prime has sent Xavier Weaver, LaJohntay Wester, Jimmy Horn Jr., Will Sheppard, and, of course, two-way 2024 Heisman Trophy winner Travis Hunter, who has since transitioned to being a full-time corner in the pros after being selected No. 2 overall by the Jacksonville Jaguars following a Jags trade-up in the draft.

Kelly-Murray projects to have two years with Deion’s replacement for Shedeur under center, Julian Lewis, when he arrives in the Centennial State. Through his sophomore and junior seasons in the SCHSL’s Class AAAAA division with Summerville, Kelly-Murray had 2,159 receiving yards and 29 receiving touchdowns. Kelly-Murray transferred to Oceanside Collegiate Academy for his senior season this fall.

Coach Prime is still clearly trying at the University of Colorado Boulder. Many believed he’d be a goner after the 2024 season when his sons left, and those same people thought he’d be gone after 2025. It’s hard not to blame them after seeing little to no traveling from Sanders on the recruiting trail because of health issues.

It doesn’t seem to matter, though. CU Director of Recruiting Rashad Rich and Buffs Inside Receivers Coach Rashad Davis got the job done on Coach Prime’s behalf. Sanders has successfully outsourced recruiting and is still a powerful figure to young recruits coming up. Specifically, corners and receivers, who continue to be the backbone of Coach Prime’s recruiting classes year in and year out.

Coach Prime's heart is still in it. If it wasn't, he wouldn't have a staff capable of landing a talent like Kelly-Murray.
