Claxon, who helped Gannon collect a 28-4 record en route to being a First-Team All-Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference honoree herself, also helped the Knights obtain a PSAC West Regular Season Championship and a PSAC Tournament Runner-Up showing.
Gannon, a No. 2 seed in the NCAA Division II Atlantic Regional and the No. 5-ranked unit in all of NCAA Division II, will face No. 7-seeded Edinboro (Pa.) in the opening round of the tournament on Friday, March 13 at 2:30 p.m.

Nova Southeastern presently sits 27-1 overall and won the Sunshine State Conference Regular Season and Tournament Championships. Kayser played 27 minutes in Nova Southeastern’s 92-85 win over Palm Beach Atlantic in the SSC Championship Game.

Montgomery, who plays for the No. 9-ranked team in all of NCAA Division II in West Liberty, helped the Hilltoppers win the Mountain East Conference Regular Season and Tournament Championships with a 27-4 overall record.
A First-Team All-MEC honoree as a freshman, Montgomery posted 13 points, five rebounds, four assists and three steals to help lead the Hilltoppers to a MEC Tournament Championship, one day after posting 24 points, five rebounds and five steals in a 105-100 double overtime win over Glenville State in the MEC Semifinals.
Montgomery was named as the MEC Tournament MVP after averaging 17.3 points, 4.7 steals and 4.7 rebounds while shooting 45.9 percent for the tournament.

Thomas guides NCAA D-I High Point to conference title, NCAA D-I national tourney
Former Shawnee State alum and head coach DeLano Thomas is at it again.
The Shawnee State Hall of Fame inductee and 2021 NAIA National Championship coach has helped lead another team to national recognition, as Thomas, the special assistant to head coach Flynn Chapman for NCAA Division I High Point, has helped guide the Panthers to a 30-4 overall record and the Big South Regular Season and Conference Tournament Championships.
High Point, which has won 14 consecutive games with Thomas’ help, is averaging just shy of 90 points per game (89.97) as a team while shooting 49.1 percent from the field. Opponents, meanwhile, are being held to 42.6 percent shooting from the floor and 70.6 points per contest, which means that High Point is outscoring its opposition by a margin of 19.3 points per bout.
Thomas is in his first season on staff at High Point after spending two seasons at NAIA Florida Memorial as its head coach. He was the head coach at SSU for five seasons prior to that.
