The presentation of the 50th annual John R. Wooden award will look a little bit different than it has in previous years.
ESPN is set to host a Heisman Trophy-like awards show to present the highest honor in college basketball to this year's winner, which is scheduled for 9 p.m. EST on ESPNU. The ceremony will be hosted at the Los Angeles Athletic Club.
Reports indicate that Marques Johnson will present the award to the men's recipient, and JuJu Watkins is in line to present the award to the women's recipient. Johnson was the first-ever recipient of the Wooden Award.
This year's Wooden Award male finalists are Darius Acuff Jr. of Arkansas, Cameron Boozer of Duke, AJ Dybantsa of BYU, Yaxel Lendeborg of Michigan and Braden Smith of Purdue.
The Wooden Award finalists on the women's side are Madison Booker of Texas, Mikayla Blakes of Vanderbilt, Azzi Fudd of UConn, Sarah Strong of UConn and Lauren Betts of UCLA.
