College golfers Myles O’Quinn and Gavin Richardson will meet in the 36-hole final of the 123rd New Hampshire Amateur on Saturday at Cochecho Country Club in Dover.
O’Quinn, a Durham resident who plays at Endicott College, and Richardson, a Southern New Hampshire University golfer from Concord, advanced after Friday’s quarterfinal and semifinal rounds.
O’Quinn, a 20-year-old Portsmouth CC member, and Richardson, a 19-year-old Concord CC member, will tee off in the final at 7:30 a.m. on Saturday.
O’Quinn defeated 16-year-old Grey Gagnon, 2 and 1, in the quarterfinals before earning a 3-and-2 triumph over Cochecho CC member Kurt Eddins in the semifinals.
Richardson defeated Nashua CC’s Bryce Zimmerman, 2 and 1, in the quarterfinals and then won a 21-hole semifinal battle with The Shattuck Golf Club’s Damon Salo.
