The Seattle Seahawks are backing up the Brink's truck for Jaxon Smith-Njigba after giving him a historic four-year extension worth $168.6 million dollars. Seattle wisely extended JSN a year before they had to, and as a result they've set the new standard for the position.
Jaxon Smith-Njigba was unquestionably the best receiver in football last season, and is quickly becoming a household name for fans across the country. However, his immeasurable ability on the football field is not the only reason he received his record-setting extension so soon. JSN is an incredible locker room presense. Even at his young age, he's already a leader on the team, and more importantly: he is the rare breed of wide receiver who does not come with any drama.
JSN's lack of drama is something Fox Sports host Colin Cowherd noted specifically on his show, The Herd, on Monday morning. His full comments on JSN's contract can be seen in the tweet below:
The Seahawks' decision to keep JSN at this massive number likely meant having to say goodbye to Riq Woolen, Coby Bryant and Super Bowl MVP Kenneth Walker III in order to make this happen. But I think it's safe to say this is a bargain every 12 is happy Seattle made.

"A lot of young players are productive but teams don't sign them a year early. Why did they do it with JSN? No drama, no big ego, he is what every CEO is seeking. He is what every GM is seeking."@colincowherd reacts to JSN's massive contract extension with the Seahawks pic.twitter.com/6Mrz9KPrRz
