Former Xavier Musketeers standout guard Colby Jones played in his third game with the Washington Wizards since they acquired him from the Sacramento Kings.

He didn't score in his first game March 11, and scored two points with four rebounds and three assists in his second game on Monday.

Wednesday night in Utah, Jones broke out for a career-high 24 points off the bench, with four rebounds and three assists in 26 minutes in the Wizards' 128-112 loss to the Jazz.

Jones, who turns 23 years old in May, was 9-of-11 from the field, including 4-of-4 from 3-point range, for a game-high 24.

Last July, Jones scored a game-high 25 points on 10-of-21 from the field with six rebounds, three steals and a block in 29 minutes in the Kings' 82-70 win against the Jazz in the NBA's Vegas Summer League.

Jones, the 34th overall pick in the 2023 NBA draft, became the first player signed under the NBA's second-round pick exception.

He declared for the draft after playing three seasons at XU.
