Two of the most polarizing figures in MMA are set to clash in an RAF wrestling match.
Colby Covington and Dillon Danis will compete in a cruiserweight bout in the co-main event of RAF 07, which takes place at the Yuengling Center in Tampa, Fla. The event will stream live exclusively on Fox Nation. The promotion announced the matchup Tuesday afternoon.
Covington, a two-time UFC title challenger, is looking to make his sophomore return, as he debuted on the RAF mats earlier this year against former UFC champion Luke Rockhold in the headliner of RAF 05. Covington won the match by tech-fall. Covington has a good amount of experience in the wrestling world, winning the NJCAA Championships as a freshman in 2007.
On the other hand, Danis will be making his RAF debut against Covington. Danis has no wrestling experience, but he does in jiu-jitsu. He's won gold at the 2014 IBJJF World Jiu-Jitsu No-Gi Championship.
