Retired softball coach Pat Willis, who was inducted into the Rutgers Athletics Hall of Fame in 2022, passed away June 11, the school said. She was 82.

Willis retired in 2006 after 27 years at the helm. Her softball teams recorded 600 victories and posted three 30-win seasons.

Willis also was a Rutgers women's basketball assistant coach for five seasons under Theresa Grentz, contributing to the program's national championship in 1982.
