The 2009 NBA Draft featured some incredible talent.

The players just weren't all drafted in the order you'd pick them if you could get a do-over after 17 years of perspective.

On Thursday, HoopsHype unveiled a 2009 re-draft, in which a number of historic players had their careers put into proper order.

And the biggest swing comes right atop the board, where the Los Angeles Clippers held the No. 1 overall pick.

In real life, they took Blake Griffin out of Oklahoma.

In the re-draft, they take Stephen Curry out of Davidson.

"Just like he was overlooked by top colleges despite being the son of Dell Curry and growing up around multiple major basketball programs, Stephen Curry was likewise overlooked by various NBA teams, including the Minnesota Timberwolves – who took not one but two point guards ahead of him," HoopsHype writes. "Curry would go on to change the game, making it acceptable to shoot the ball from anywhere on the floor as he won four championships (and counting) to go with his two league MVP awards playing in that style."

The redraft has James Harden go second and DeMar DeRozan go third before Griffin goes off the board at No. 4.

It's hard to blame the Clippers for taking Griffin, and he had a great career in Los Angeles despite injuries.

But yeah, in retrospect, Curry tops this class.

One of the most interesting things about the concept of a re-draft is fit -- would Curry have had this career if he played somewhere other than the Golden State Warriors?

We'll never actually know, because reality only plays out one way.

And back then, Curry was a slight-of-frame guard from a small school. He wasn't your classic first overall pick.

He ended up going seventh, and he turned into one of the best players in NBA history.

Yeah, if the Clippers could have that instead, they'd probably go for it.
