One constant on the Cleveland Browns defense for a long time, Myles Garrett, is no longer with the team, meaning the defensive end room will look a good bit different in 2026. Jared Verse comes in as the new top player at the position, bringing great run defense and an impressive power profile as a pass rusher.

He isn't Garrett, not many are, but Verse is a young player who has already shown he can play at a high level and lead the position group as Garrett's replacement. The Browns gave Alex Wright an extension, and he is the starter opposite Verse as a solid number-two option. He's a fantastic edge setter against the run, and his flexibility to kick inside and rush the passer is very valuable, especially with some depth concerns inside.

Behind the top two, you have Isaiah McGuire, who is in the final year of his deal in a prove-it year, and some young guys that will get a chance to make their case as role players, though the team could stand to add some depth in the form of a situational pass rusher.
