- Cleveland Browns Training Camp Recap: Day 7 – One QB throws 7 TDs (Chris Pokorny) – “It’s a low bar, but the word is that QB Deshaun Watson had his best practice session by far. The stat tracker shows him throwing 7 touchdown passes, but don’t be in awe of that, since some were goal line passes in 7 on 7 drills. Nonetheless, he was at least sharp in the basics on the day, which is a step forward.”
- Browns QB Dillon Gabriel quietly putting in the work at camp (Thomas Moore) – “Cleveland Browns quarterback Dillon Gabriel has been the invisible man in the early days of training camp as the third man in a depressing two-man quarterback competition.”
- Browns QBs: What could lead Dillon Gabriel back to challenge Sanders, Watson (Abby Mueller) – “The biggest storyline entering this season’s training camp was whether Shedeur Sanders or Deshaun Watson would earn the starting quarterback job for Week 1. Unexpectedly, Dillon Gabriel’s name has already started to generate some buzz early in camp and has shifted the conversation slightly. Head coach Todd Monken mentioned to the media that if Gabriel continues to stack good days, he will get more reps. Early reports are showing impressive development from Gabriel.”
- Browns roster: Tuesday injury leads to promising UDFA being waived, defender added (Barry Shuck) – “The Cleveland Browns saw a need for additional depth at defensive tackle and claimed Coziah Izzard off waivers from the Arizona Cardinals. The Cardinals have a logjam at DT and released Izzard on Monday. This is the third free agent defender added in the last few days for the Browns roster, including a recent UFL star.”

- How Jerry Jeudy explained the 4 fingers on viral social media video (Beacon Journal) – “Jerry Jeudy has a 4-year-old daughter. The Browns wide receiver also plays on a team with a quarterback who wears the jersey No. 4 who’s involved in a high-profile competition.”
- Jared Verse’s post-practice work with Spencer Fano inspires Todd Monken to tell him ‘we’re so lucky you’re a Brown’ (Browns Zone) – “Jared Verse has made quite an early impression on coaches and teammates. From his play to his attitude to his leadership, he continues to draw high praise. The latest example was staying after practice Tuesday to work with rookie left tackle Spencer Fano. Verse is the right defensive end, so they’ve squared off often.”
- How Deshaun Watson rebounded with his best day to outshine Shedeur Sanders on Day 7: Browns ‘26 QB battle (cleveland.com) – “Deshaun Watson needed a feel-good, rebound day at Browns training camp, and he got one. He worked with the first-team offense on a day in shells and no pads, and the Browns didn’t two-spot, meaning he had the full arsenal of weapons at his disposal.”

- Is the NFL learning to love running backs again? Bijan Robinson and RB contract trends (The Athletic) – “Over the past decade, assessing the financial value of running backs has been a perplexing exercise. Trends for running-back contracts have been a roller coaster; Bijan Robinson’s record-setting extension on Tuesday is another high point. With Robinson’s contract done, likely laying the groundwork for Jahmyr Gibbs’ monster extension from the Detroit Lions, are running backs making a financial comeback?
- Will WR Stefon Diggs be a fit with the Washington Commanders? (ESPN) – “The Washington Commanders had one big question on offense: Who would be the No. 2 receiver? They answered it Wednesday. It’s Stefon Diggs.
- Dexter Lawrence is already making life miserable for the Bengals’ offense, and they couldn’t be happier (Cincy Jungle) – “When the Cincinnati Bengals traded a first-round pick to acquire Dexter Lawrence this offseason, the expectation was that the three-time Pro Bowler would transform a defense that desperately needed a game-wrecker in the middle. One week into training camp, it sounds like that transformation is already underway.
