Clemsonfootball has another massive recruiting battle on deck that is going down to a head-to-head battle.
Four-star safety Jayden Aparicio-Bailey is down to Clemson and Georgia, according to Rivals’ Hayes Fawcett. The Prattville, Alabama, product will announce his commitment June 27th live on the Rivals YouTube channel, giving the Tigers a chance to land one of the top defensive backs in the 2027 class.
Aparicio-Bailey is listed by 247Sports at 6'2 and 195 pounds, giving an ideal frame for a safety. He is rated as a four-star prospect by 247Sports, while the 247Sports Composite ranks him as the No. 175 player nationally, the No. 15 safety and the No. 8 player in Alabama.
Clemson and Georgia are both listed as warmer on his 247Sports page, but Clemson currently holds the lone Crystal Ball prediction. The Tigers also hosted him for a visit on May 29, while Georgia followed with a June 5 visit.
That sets up a classic recruiting finish. Clemson has the prediction and the upper hand according to analysts. Georgia has the SEC pull and the defensive reputation. Aparicio-Bailey has a decision date circled, and both programs have a real shot to close the deal. If Clemson can pull this deal across the line it would put icing on an already elite 2027 commitment class.
