Clemson men’s basketball has officially announced the four transfer portal additions that will round out Brad Brownell’s incoming class for next season: Cole Certa, Dylan Faulkner, Liutauras Lelevicius and David Fuchs.
Certa heads to Clemson after two seasons at Notre Dame, where he broke out in ACC play last year as one of the league’s top scorers late in the season. Brownell called him “an elite shooter” and praised both his scoring ability and competitiveness.
“Cole is an elite shooter who has proven himself to be a high-level scorer in the ACC,” Brownell said. “I really like his competitive spirit and I’m anxious to coach him this season.”
Faulkner joins the Tigers from Samford after a productive season that included 515 points and 11 double-doubles. Brownell pointed to his motor, rebounding ability and experience playing under Lennie Acuff as reasons he should fit quickly into Clemson’s system.
Lelevicius brings experience from both TCU and Oregon State, along with a reputation as a reliable perimeter shooter. The Lithuania native shot 38 percent from three in his college career and also has international experience with Lithuania’s U20 national team.
“LT is a versatile forward whose shooting ability will put stress on defenses,” Brownell said. “He has a great deal of experience at this level and internationally for Lithuania.”
Fuchs arrives after earning WCC Newcomer of the Year honors at San Francisco. The senior averaged 12.7 points and 7.8 rebounds last season while leading the Dons on the glass.
Brownell described Fuchs as “a mature, physical post player” and “an elite rebounder,” adding that his toughness will be an important piece for Clemson heading into next season.
