The ECHL has reached a tentative deal with the Professional Hockey Players’ Association to end the strike.
After the Cincinnati Cyclones postponed their game against the Kalamazoo Wings twice, the ECHL and Professional Hockey Players’ Association reached a deal late Dec. 27 to end the strike, the players' association announced on social media.

A Cincinnati Cyclones spokesperson also confirmed the end of the strike, saying, “The Cyclones will return to Heritage Bank Center on Wednesday, Dec. 31 for a home game against the Indy Fuel."
The tentative deal is pending ratification and approval by the ECHL Board of Governors.
