Christian Pulisic is enduring a dismal run of form - and a prominent Italian media outlet has slammed the U.S. Men's National Team star with the FIFA World Cup looming.
With the tournament kicking off in slightly more than two weeks, various nations have announced their 26-man squads. Mauricio Pochettino will formally unveil his USMNT roster on Tuesday in New York, though leaks seemingly indicate who has made the cut - and who hasn't.
Training camp kicks off on Wednesday in Greater Atlanta, with several players hitting their stride and carrying expectations for the U.S. Tyler Adams, for instance, recovered from injury to help AFC Bournemouth secure European soccer for the first time in the club's history.

In the attacking third, Folarin Balogun, Haji Wright, and Ricardo Pepi tallied 56 goals in 119 appearances across all competitions for AS Monaco, Coventry City, and PSV Eindhoven, respectively.
However, Pulisic, despite being the highest-profile name in the squad, is faltering, as per The Mirror US.
Pulisic began the 2025-26 season strongly for AC Milan. Yet since December, the 27-year-old has gone scoreless in 21 consecutive games for club and country.
This stretch represents the poorest form of his career, resulting in Pulisic being relegated to the bench. His last three Milan outings came as a substitute.
Due to the impressive form of Pochettino's attacking options, the USMNT isn't entirely dependent on Pulisic. However, if the team is to succeed as one of the tournament hosts, he must rediscover his best form.

Gazzetta dello Sport has expressed disappointment with Pulisic's performances. The publication stated: "He hasn't scored in five months, and his sad decline with the Rossoneri continues as he misses a couple of headed chances.
"A far cry from 'Captain America.'"
On Sunday, in Serie A's final game of the season, Milan endured a 2-1 loss at home to Cagliari. Pulisic entered as a substitute for the second period, but couldn't influence proceedings as Milan dropped to fifth position - failing to secure UEFA Champions League qualification for the second consecutive season.
Overall, Pulisic featured in 30 matches, making 18 starts. He registered eight goals and contributed four assists, a decline from the previous season, when he netted 11 times and provided nine assists.
Pulisic will nevertheless be named in Pochettino's squad on Tuesday. The USMNT faces Paraguay in their World Cup opener at SoFi Stadium on June 12, before meeting Australia in Seattle on June 19 and Turkey in Los Angeles on June 25.
