Hasnt really done anything since leaving Detriot.

Average player. But still a good depth pickup depending on the price.

The rams LB's were terrible last year and bad the year before. Neither Coakley nor Claiborne are superstuds, but they are an upgrade for the rams. Also, the rams have managed to be somewhat responsible with respect to their salary cap with these signings. The plan is to keep Claiborne in the middle where he is supposedly most comfortable. It's hard to get excited about these signings, but it's better than the status quo would have been.

BTW, Claiborne is 27, hardly an old man, IMO.

As long as they play in Marmie’s system, I really don’t care who they sign on defense.

Actually 26...he's 44 days younger than me...and he's been called an old man....oh man...I gotta get out of college :)

27 by the time the season starts (which is probably what you meant)

...and I read the other posts about marmies defense....umm..imho....I don't think his d scheme is very good...rather quite poor.

I can't believe they're paying this chump over 3million a year. Another brilliant personnel move by the Rams. I can't believe Marmie hasn't picked up McKinnon yet.
