Choose the top Cape and Islands girls lacrosse player from playoffs

Welcome to our latest Cape Cod and Islands High School Player of the Week Poll.

High school sports fans can vote for which girls lacrosse players they think were standouts during the playoffs.

The poll will be open from Friday through Thursday. The winner will be announced on July 3. Votes are unlimited.

Rules of the Road​

Votes must be cast via the Cape Cod Times website/mobile sites. Votes submitted via email and social media will NOT be accepted. To vote for this week's Player of the Week, scroll down on this page.

Ceci O'Connor, Sturgis West​

O'Connor won her second poll this season with 79% of the votes. She made 15 saves in the cage in a loss to D-Y and now has 703 saves for her career.

Louisa Beni, Nantucket​

Beni notched career goal 100 as she tallied five goals and an assist for the No. 8 Whalers as they defeated No. 25 Monomoy 19-4 in the Division 4 Round of 32.

Mia Curley, St. John Paul II​

Curley tallied eight goals and an assist for the No. 29 Lions as they beat No. 36 Bristol-Plymouth 24-15 in the Division 3 Preliminary Round.

Grace Hanlon, Nantucket​

Hanlon scored five times in a win over Monomoy.

Ciara Hendricks, Mashpee​

Hendricks had five goals in a playoff loss to Lunenburg.

Emelie Jonsson, Barnstable​

Jonsson had six goals and three assists for the No. 25 Red Hawks in a 18-5 win over No. 40 Bay Path RVT in the Div. 3 prelims.

Paige Morrison, Sandwich​

Morrison scored the winning goal for top-ranked Blue Knights as they beat No. 2 Ipswich in the Div. 4 Finals. This was Sandwich first state championship in program history.

Sophie Philbrick, St. John Paul II​

Philbrick finished with one goal and eight assists in a victory over Bristol-Plymouth.

Abi Reisig, Sandwich​

Reisig had five goals for the No. 1 Blue Knights as they beat No. 8 Nantucket 20-5 in the Div. 4 Round of 8.

Grace Schroeder, Nantucket​

Schroeder recorded three goals and four assists in a victory over Monomoy.

Taylor Simard, Bourne​

Simard had three goals and two assists for the No. 32 Canalmen as they beat No. 33 Nashoba Valley Tech 20-3 in the Div. 4 prelims.

Tessa Stone, Bourne​

Stone had five goals as the Canalmen beat Nashoba Valley Tech.

Elisabeth Stutzman, Sandwich​

Stutzman scored six times in a win over Nantucket.

Taylor finished with five goals and four assists in a victory over Nashoba Valley Tech.

Akira Umbrello St. John Paul II​

Umbrello chipped in seven goals and four assists for the Lions as they defeated Bristol-Plymouth.
