The Kansas City Chiefs have aggressively upgraded their roster during the 2026 offseason, and the team may be preparing to make another splash signing as its offseason program gets into gear.

On Wednesday, May 27, Kansas City restructured the contract of star pass-rusher George Karlaftis to free up cap space — presumably to sign rookie first-rounders Mansoor Delane and Peter Woods.

But Chiefs expert Charles Goldman of A to Z Sports isn't so sure that general manager Brett Veach will stop after Kansas City's top picks ink their new contracts.

In a post to Twitter about the matter, Goldman indicated that Veach still has work to do if he intends to acquire a top wide receiver via trade or free agency, and mentioned Philadelphia Eagles wideout A.J. Brown and free agent pass-catcher Stefon Diggs as potential targets.

While it remains to be seen if Veach is truly interested in making a surprise late-Spring-early-Summer move to get a new weapon for Patrick Mahomes, the prospect of another high-profile wide receiver is sure to keep Kansas City's fans abuzz until training camp begins in July.
