Kansas City Chiefs defensive back Kader Kohou spoke with reporters after practice recently at Missouri Western State University. He discussed his health status following an injury that sidelined him from the 2025 season.
"I think the most challenging were the earlier parts when I couldn't walk and do the normal stuff I'm used to doing." said Kohou, "I feel like that year of sitting down I kind of learned a lot about myself, and it kind of made me grow a little more love for football and cherish it a little more because it can get taken away at any time."
Kohou showcases exceptional speed and agility and can contribute on special teams as a returner. He suffered a torn ACL in training camp with the Dolphins and was ruled out for the 2025 season. He believes that his versatility will be an asset for defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo.
"Yeah, most definitely, whatever they need me (for), I feel like I can play," said Kohou. "I'll leave that up to (Steve) Spags (Spagnuolo) wherever he sees me fit. Yeah, I feel like I can play multiple positions."
Kohou has 38 career starts, 190 tackles, and 3 interceptions.
