Since dropping Game 1 with a double-overtime loss to the San Antonio Spurs, the reigning NBA-champion Oklahoma City Thunder have bounced back with two consecutive wins to take a 2-1 series lead in the Western Conference Finals.
Spurs superstar Victor Wembanyama was unstoppable in Game 1, recording 41 points and 24 rebounds in the series-opening win. But since then, his production has been limited in comparison.
Wembanyama recorded 21 points and 17 rebounds in Game 2. In the Spurs’ Game 3 loss in San Antonio, the 7-foot-4 Frenchman notched 26 points and just four rebounds.
Ahead of Sunday night’s Game 4 matchup, Oklahoma City center Chet Holmgren was asked how his team has limited Wembanyama over the last two games.
“Yeah sorry. No gameplan stuff,” Holmgren replied.

Wembanyama is looking to improve his play when he takes the court for Game 4 on Sunday night.
“I feel like I’m having trouble making my teammates better right now,” Wembanyama said after the Spurs’ 123-108 loss in Game 3. “My shooting splits aren’t terrible. I need to be more of a team player, facilitate better, rebound the ball better, push their defense a little bit further and see how much they need to help with my teammates and [then] feed them.”
