Cherki and O’Reilly up for Premier League Player of the Month

Rayan Cherki and Nico O’Reilly have both been nominated for April’s Premier League Player of the Month award.

The pair enjoyed a fantastic month, both playing in all three victories that saw City end April three points off the top of the table with a game in hand.

We began with a 3-0 victory at Chelsea with both playing significant roles in a crucial win at Stamford Bridge.

They combined for the vital opener as Cherki’s pinpoint cross picked out O’Reilly to emphatically head home in front of the City fans.

Cherki then provided the assist for Marc Guehi’s second as he skipped past three challenges before sliding in the City defender to slam home.

The Frenchman was then on-target in our 2-1 win over title rivals Arsenal with a wonderful individual strike.

VOTE FOR CHERKI OR O’REILLY HERE

Cherki slalomed through Gunners challenges before a sidefoot finish into the bottom corner to give us an early lead.

Erling Haaland grabbed a second half winner with O’Reilly heavily involved – picking up the ball from Gianliugi Donnarumma and later in the move providing the cross that made its way to the striker.

And we rounded off the month with a 1-0 win at Burnley that moved us top with both players starting the victory at Turf Moor.
