Charlotte Hornets rookie Kon Knueppel put the NBA on notice last season, leading the league in 3-pointers made as a rookie. Knueppel drilled 273 long-range attempts, one more than his former teammate LaMelo Ball, who came in second.
Despite the high volume (7.9 3PA per game), Knueppel remained among the league's most efficient shooters, finishing the year with a 42.5% success rate from beyond the arc.
As a result, Knueppel has been recognized by NBA 2K, the world's most popular basketball video game. Ahead of the 2026-27 season, 2K ranked Knueppel second in 3-point rating, giving the Duke alum a 94. Only Stephen Curry of the Golden State Warriors ranked higher, as he was awarded a 3-point rating of 99.
