Charley Hull just about remained in contention to win the AIG Women’s Open after shooting a third-round 71.
Hull will be proud of herself for the way in which she battled back after a disastrous start on Saturday at Royal Lytham & St Annes.
The 30-year-old Englishwoman began with a bogey on her first hole on day three and followed that with two more on the third and sixth holes.
However, Charley Hull showed that she has a really strong mentality by making four birdies during the rest of her round on Saturday at the Women’s Open, along with one more bogey.

Hull has continued to be aggressive during the Women’s Open throughout the week, and she will need to continue that mindset heading into the final round.
The 30-year-old trails the leader, Yealimi Noh, by five with just 18 holes left to play, but there is no doubt that she will give it all she’s got on Sunday.

The Englishwoman definitely didn’t have her best stuff on day three of the Women’s Open.
Hull spoke to reporters after her third round at Royal Lytham & St Annes on Saturday.
She was asked whether she was proud of the way in which she managed to claw herself back into the championship.
“Yeah, I was pretty proud of my fightback,“ Hull replied.
“I played the first six holes like a 10-handicapper.

“I missed at least 3 putts that I should have holed from, like, 5 foot and in.
“I think they would have kept me at level par instead of three-over, and then I did have the bounce-back.
“I was pretty happy with the way I finished.“
Fair play to Hull. It cannot have been easy for her to start the way that she did and she deserves huge credit for posting a round of even-par in the end.

Hull admitted that she struggled with her putting during her front nine after losing trust in her stroke.
“I found the greens a bit more bobbly out there this afternoon,“ she said.
“Once you miss one putt, then you don’t trust the greens sometimes. You struggle to trust your stroke.
“The back nine I just concentrated on keeping my head down, so that really helped me.“
However, the crowd at Royal Lytham & St Annes really picked her up when she was struggling.
“It was really good, it was really, really cool to interact with the crowd when they’re cheering your name and stuff, it’s nice to see,“ Hull admitted.
