Formula 1 competed at Silverstone, and it was a stunning event. Kimi Antonelli won the pole and was expected to be a heavy favorite to win the British Grand Prix. However, Antonelli got behind at the start of the race, leaving the Mercedes driver on the chase. At the end of the day, it was a Ferrari driver who earned the victory.
Charles Leclerc and the No. 16 team for Ferrari won the British Grand Prix at Silverstone, earning their first victory of the 2026 Formula 1 season. Leclerc took the lead at the start and created a gap to second place. Antonelli tried to run down Leclerc in the closing laps, but suffered a stunning mechanical issue.
Formula 1 ended the race in a safety car after Max Verstappen got beached in the gravel. It was a disappointing end for Formula 1 at Silverstone; however, the right driver won on Sunday. Leclerc put together a spectacular performance at Silversont, earning his first win since the 2024 season.
