Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert should be feeling pretty good about where he lands in the NFL Top 100 ranking list.
Herbert clocked in at No. 39 on the list, which is a 17-spot jump from the previous year.

This is Herbert’s fifth straight year on the Top 100 list. In previous years, he’s been at 56, 40, 32, 75 and 56. Now, he’s at 39, which is his second-highest ranking of all-time.
The quarterbacks that have yet to be ranked and should be expected are:
- Drake Maye of the New England Patriots
- Patrick Mahomes of the Kansas City Chiefs
- Josh Allen of the Buffalo Bills
- Matthew Stafford of the Los Angeles Rams
Herbert is coming off of another strong season with 3,727 yards and 26 passing touchdowns. He also logged a career-high 498 rushing yards.
There is hope that Herbert can grow even further from this spot in future years.
“We’re looking to master and be elite at everything that we do and being able to own the position in a new way,” McDaniel said this offseason. “Being able for him to own the position a way he never has and ultimately, for it to be obvious to everyone around that he’s playing the best football of his career.”
“I’m really excited because I think his best football is in front of him, not behind him.”
