The Chargers have requested an interview with Ravens defensive coordinator Zach Orr for the same position. The move follows Jesse Minter's departure to Baltimore to be its next head coach.
This is the second requested interview for the vacancy, with the first being Rams assistant head coach and pass game coordinator Aubrey Pleasant.
Orr took over as the Ravens' defensive coordinator in 2024 after Mike Macdonald left to become the Seahawks' head coach. Before that, Orr served as Baltimore's inside linebackers coach (2022-2023).
Orr's coaching career began as a defensive analyst for the Ravens (2017-2020), and he then served as an outside linebackers coach for the Jaguars in 2021 before returning to Baltimore.
Orr played for the Ravens for three seasons (2014-2016) before a spinal condition forced his early retirement.
