Los Angeles Chargers head coach Jim Harbaugh appears to be enjoying his offseason the best way he knows how: with more sports.
Harbaugh was spotted at Dodger Stadium Monday evening ahead of the much-anticipated matchup between the Tampa Bay Rays and Dodgers.
As one would expect of the sports fanatic, Harbaugh had his glove with him, and he caught some balls in the outfield.
He also tossed a ball to a young fan and signed a ball for another fan at the outfield wall, as shown in video recorded by Dodgers Nation’s Noel Sanchez.
David Vassegh of AM 570 LA Sports said Harbaugh was there with his family shagging fly balls during batting practice.
It appears Dodgers’ first base coach Chris Woodward was out there with the Harbaughs, too.
“Harbaugh has caught 21 foul balls in the stands of Major League stadiums,” Vassegh added, though that statement could cause a bit of friction with the Chargers coach.
Harbaugh famously brings his glove to all baseball games he attends, and over the years, he claims he’s caught 22 — not 21 — foul balls and home runs.
“Legit … I’m really proud of that,” he said at a Chargers press conference during which he also spent five minutes detailing each catch, as reported by Daniel Popper of The Athletic.

Harbaugh said he and his brother, New York Giants coach John Harbaugh, would snag balls in the stands at Detroit Tigers games when they were kids.
Per Jim Harbaugh, 13 of his 22 balls came from those Tigers games.
That, of course, means nine of those catches came when Harbaugh was an adult, something that’s likely due in part to his technique and willingness to pursue a souvenir instead of watching a homer.
“I use my technique of going down,” Harbaugh said, as reported by Pro Football Network. “Everyone’s going up, I’m going down. So you get down there and I came up with the ball.”
That kind of attitude tracks for the idiosyncratic Harbaugh, who famously discouraged his players from eating chicken because it’s “a nervous bird” and wasn’t afraid to join the skins team during a summer scrimmage in the Alabama heat.
