French international Kylian Mbappé once again lit up the European stage. The French striker bagged a brace in Real Madrid’s comprehensive 6-1 victory over Monaco in Matchday 7 of the Champions League group stage.

Scoring two early goals in the 5th and 26th minutes, Mbappé set his team on course for a resounding win. The Madrid side piled on the goals with Franco Mastantuono adding his name to the scoresheet, an own goal from Thilo Kehrer, and further strikes from Vinicius Junior and Jude Bellingham. Monaco salvaged some pride with a goal from Jordan Teze.

With this brace, Mbappé brings his tally to eleven goals, solidifying his position at the top of the Champions League scoring charts. He now has a clear lead over Norwegian star Erling Haaland (Manchester City) and Nigerian forward Victor Osimhen (Galatasaray).
