Jaylen Brown continued his livestream activity after the Boston Celtics’ playoff exit. His side were eliminated by the Philadelphia 76ers in the first round, ending their campaign earlier than expected.
Even after that defeat, Brown maintained his regular approach. As he had done during the season, he went live in his free time and addressed a range of topics.
During Sunday’s broadcast, he made headlines once again. The Celtics star delivered a blunt assessment of a trend he believes is damaging the NBA product.

Brown pointed directly to flopping as a major issue in today’s game. He specifically referenced Joel Embiid while explaining his stance during the livestream.
Embiid had dominated Game 7 with 34 points to seal the series. The Celtics forward had already called out what he viewed as flopping in his post-match press conference.
Speaking on Twitch, he reinforced that view without hesitation, saying: “Flopping has ruined our game. Joel Embiid is a great player. One of the best bigs in f—— basketball history. [But he] Flops. He knows it. This ain’t, this ain’t breaking news.”
Jay Williams questions Jaylen Brown’s continued focus on Joel Embiid
Brown’s remarks drew criticism from former NBA guard Jay Williams. The ex-Chicago Bulls player questioned the timing and tone of the comments.
Speaking on ESPN’s Get Up this Monday, Williams acknowledged the broader issue. “We know that Joel Embiid flops. We get it,” he said.
However, he later suggested Brown should have moved on from the topic. “It feels like it’s about excuses and that’s not who Jaylen Brown is,” Williams added.
“He said a lot of great things during that stream, but that one thing, he shouldn’t have said,” he concluded.
