Addressing the trenches is very much on the New York Jets' radar ahead of the 2025 NFL draft.
But CBS Sports NFL draft analyst Pete Prisco still makes a surprising move for the team in his latest mock.
Instead of using the No. 7 overall selection held by New York on an offensive lineman like many have predicted, the mocked pick is a player for the defensive side of the ball. Michigan's Mason Graham is the one taken by the Jets.
Graham, a junior, just finished a promising 2024 campaign for the National Champions. In 12 games played, the defensive tackle had 3.5 sacks, a pass defended, 45 tackles including seven for loss.
While defensive tackle is a need for the Jets despite New York making a few signings in the position, Graham is a curious selection. NFL.com's draft profile pegs him as a three-tech tackle, similar to Quinnen Williams, instead of a space-eating, one-tech that could play next to Williams.
Even so, they could turn into a dynamic duo. The Draft Network project Graham as a first-round pick.
The CBS Sports breakdown on Graham to the Jets can be found below:

Graham is a bit undersized, but he plays the position like a 10-year pro. He has great hands. The former wrestler would be a good complement to Quinnen Williams inside for the Jets.
