Cavs have a path to a starting 5 of LeBron James, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Donovan Mitchell, James Harden, Jarrett Allen originally appeared on The Sporting News. Add The Sporting News as a Preferred Source by clicking here.
The Cleveland Cavaliers had a disappointing ending to this postseason run as the New York Knicks swept them handily.
But what if they have the chance this offseason to add both LeBron James and Giannis Antetokounmpo?
Yahoo Sports' Tom Haberstroh spoke in an interview Thursday about that very idea. He thinks it's possible, and that it'd be the "best-case scenario" for Cleveland this offseason.
Haberstroh suggests that the Cavs could trade Evan Mobley and a first-round pick for Giannis.
"You turn around and say, 'LeBron, you can come home for a farewell tour and try to win a championship... and have an easier road,'" Haberstroh said.

MORE: There's a 7th-grade hooper named Kobe Bryant
That would leave the Cavs with this starting lineup:
- James Harden
- Donovan Mitchell
- LeBron James
- Giannis Antetokounmpo
- Jarrett Allen
That would be the best starting unit, on paper, in the entire NBA.
The Cavs would have some potential issues with aging players, and they'd have to do some serious salary cap work to pull this off.
But just the concept? It's an exciting one.
At least part of this would come down to whether the Bucks want Mobley. The other aspect depends on if James will take a reduced salary to come aboard.
If it all came together, it'd be pretty epic.
