This collection of former Notre Dame basketball players is still playing basketball.

Some may be nearing their last runs, be it at the game’s highest level or somewhere overseas. Some are still going strong, putting up big numbers in big minutes. Some are skipping here and there and anywhere just to find that next run. But they’re still playing.

This past season, there were 18 former Irish putting up different numbers in a variety of different leagues. Some played a little. Some played a lot. But they all played.

Following is a rundown of how 18 former Notre Dame basketball players fared professionally this past season, some of which run from mid-August to late-May, in their respective leagues. Players are listed alphabetically with their years at Notre Dame in parenthesis along with their degree of study.

☘ Tim Abromaitis (2008-12)​


Degree: Finance

Country: Spain

Team: La Laguna Tenerife

Record: Finished 18-16 in league play, eighth place in the 18-team Liga Endesa (highest level). Also went 4-2 in Group L of the Basketball Champions League.

Stats: In a team-high 40 games in Liga Endesa play, Abromaitis averaged 6.5 points, 3.3 rebounds, 0.6 assists, 0.3 blocks and 0.4 steals in 18.7 minutes. He shot .535 percent from the field, .409 from 3 and .855 from the foul line.

In 16 BCL games, he averaged 5.4 points, 4.5 rebounds, 0.6 assists, 0.3 blocks and 0.3 steals in 19.0 minutes. He shot .444 percent from the field, .359 from 3 and .750 from the foul line.

Best game: In a 109-96 victory over Granada on May 23, Abromaitis set season highs for minutes (33), points (20) and rebounds (10).

Note: The team’s starting power forward at age 36, Abromaitis has played in France, Germany and Russia. He also played NBA summer league with the Boston Celtics as an NBA free agent in 2013.

☘ Matt Allocco (2024-25)​


Degree: Sociology

Country: United States

Team: San Diego Clippers – NBA G League

Record: Finished 18-18 and eighth place in 15-team Western Conference. Advanced to first round of G League playoffs as No. 8 seed where Clippers lost one-game playoff to No. 1 seed South Bay Lakers.

Stats: In 43 games (all 38 regular season and five in preseason Tip-off Tournament), Allocco averaged 4.4 points, 2.6 rebounds and 2.5 assists in 22.1 minutes. He shot .585 percent from the field, .333 from 3 and .769 from the foul line.

Best game: In a 120-115 loss to South Bay on January 14, the former Irish guard scored 14 points with four rebounds and four assists in 39 minutes. It was one of six games where Allocco scored double figures.

Note: An undrafted free agent after his only season (2024-25) at Notre Dame, Allocco played on a San Diego team with a heavy Atlantic Coast Conference influence. Coached by former Georgia Tech coach Paul Hewitt, once in the mix for the Notre Dame job that went to Matt Doherty in 1999, San Diego’s roster also featured former ACC standouts Norchad Ormier (Miami, Fla.), Sean Pedulla (Virginia Tech), Cam Reddish (Duke) and Hunter Sallis (Wake Forest).

☘ Zach Auguste (2012-16)​


Degree: Film, Television, Theatre

Country: Japan

Team: Shiga Lakestars

Record: Finished 23-27 overall and 10th place in the 13-team West Division of the Japan-B1 League (highest level).

Stats: In 58 games, the team’s starting center averaged 18.2 points, 8.3 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.5 steals in 28.0 minutes. Auguste shot .604 percent from the field, .282 from 3 and .503 from the foul line.

Best game: In a 79-71 loss to Toyama on December 28, 2025, Auguste scored 34 points (13-of-18 field goals), with 15 rebounds, three assists, one block and one steal in 39 minutes. It was one of 18 double doubles for the 32-year-old Auguste, who also had one game (against Toyama) of 21 points and 21 rebounds.

Note: Auguste plays in the same Japanese professional league with fellow former Irish power forwards Jack Cooley (Ryukyu) and John Mooney (Chiba). Auguste played two games against them this season. He averaged 19 points, seven rebounds and two assists in 30 minutes against Mooney and Chiba and 17.5 points, 4.0 rebounds and 2.5 assists in 28 minutes against Cooley and Ryukyu.

☘ Bonzie Colson (2014-18)​


Degree: Film, Television, Theatre

Country: Türkiye

Team: Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul

Record: Finished 26-5 overall and first place in the 16-team Türkiye BSL (highest level). Also went 24-14 and fourth place in the 20-team Euro League.

Stats: The 30-year-old from New Bedford, Massachusetts averaged 7.4 points, 3.6 rebounds, 0.5 assists and 0.6 blocks in 17.8 minutes. Colson shot .563 percent from the field, .378 from 3 and .783 from the foul line.

In 40 Euro League games, he averaged 7.1 points, 3.0 rebounds, 0.8 assists, 0.4 blocks and 0.6 steals in 17.4 minutes. He shot .495 percent from the field, .485 from 3 and .898 from the foul line.

Best game: In an 86-81 loss to Crvena Zvezda on October 10, 2025, Colson scored 19 points with two rebounds in 17 minutes.

Note: On a team coached by former Indiana Pacers point guard Sarunas Jasikevicius, Colson was a reserve forward with a roster that included former college standouts Armando Bacot (North Carolina), Wade Baldwin (Vanderbilt), Brandon Boston (Kentucky), Devon Hall (Virginia) and Talen Horton-Tucker (Iowa State).

☘ Pat Connaughton (2011-15)​


Degree: Management Consulting

Country: United States

Team: Charlotte Hornets - NBA

Record: Finished 44-38 overall and third place in the Southeast Division, ninth in the Eastern Conference, where they qualified for the NBA Playoffs play-in tournament. Charlotte beat Miami before being eliminated by Orlando.

Stats: The 33-year-old former Irish captain averaged 2.6 points, 1.5 rebounds, 0.4 assists and 0.3 steals in 7.1 minutes over 42 games, all off the bench. He shot .529 percent from the field, .396 from 3 and .650 from the foul line.

Best game: In a 127-118 loss to Indiana on November 19, 2025, Connaughton scored a season-high 13 points with two rebounds and an assist in 16 minutes.

Note: A second-round pick (41st overall) of Brooklyn in the 2015 draft, Connaghton finished his 11th professional season averaging the lowest minutes per game (7.1) since his rookie season (4.2) with Portland. Charlotte holds his team option for 2026-27 at $3.8 million. Connaughton made $10.7 million in 2025-26.

☘ Jack Cooley (2009-13)​


Degree: Finance

Country: Japan

Team: Ryukyu Golden Kings

Record: Finished 42-18 in league play and third place in the 13-team West Division of the Japan-B1 league (highest level). Also went 5-1 in Group B post-season.

Stats: In 67 games, Cooley averaged 13.2 points, 9.7 rebounds, 1.9 assists, 0.7 blocks and 0.7 steals in 26.3 minutes. He shot .569 percent from the field, .286 from 3 and .773 from the foul line. In eight East Asia Super League games, Cooley averaged 16.0 points, 11.5 rebounds and 2.0 assists in 31.3 minutes. He shot .559 percent from the field, made his lone 3 and .697 from the foul line.

Best game: In an 81-78 victory over Toyama on December 21, 2025, Cooley scored 25 points (11-of-13 free throws) with 20 rebounds, three assists and two steals in 35 minutes. He had 36 double doubles for points and rebounds.

Note: Having played professionally in Germany, Italy, Spain and Türkiye, and in the NBA (23 career games) and G League, the 35-year-old Cooley has played the last seven seasons in Japan.

☘ Martinas Geben (2014-18)​


Degree: Management Consulting

Country: Spain

Team: Basquet Girona

Record: Finished the regular season 14-20 and 12th place in the 18-team Spain-Liga Endesa (highest level) league.

Stats: In 34 games as the team’s starting center, the 6-foot-10 Geben averaged 11.0 points, 6.1 rebounds, 1.1 assists, 0.3 blocks and 0.6 steals in 21.4 minutes. He shot .665 percent from the floor, .390 from 3 and .769 from the foul line. He also appeared in two games in the World Cup for his native Lithuania, where he averaged 7.0 points, 2.5 rebounds and one assist.

Best game: In an 86-80 loss to Bilbao on May 24, Geben scored a season high 24 points with 13 rebounds, one assist and one steal in 27 minutes.

Note: Having also played professionally in Germany, Lithuania and Slovenia, the 31-year-old Geben has signed to return to Girona for 2026-27.

☘ Dane Goodwin (2018-23)​


Degree: Management Consulting

Country: United States

Team: Grand Rapids Gold – NBA G League

Record: Finished 11-25 overall and 15th place in the 16-team Western Conference.

Stats: In 50 games (including the Tip-off Tournament), Goodwin averaged 15.4 points, 4.5 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 1.2 steals in 31.5 minutes. He shot .552 percent from the field, .390 from 3 and .827 from the foul line.

Best game: In a 124-119 loss to the Westchester Knicks on February 19, Goodwin scored 36 points (six 3-pointers), with 10 rebounds, five assists and four steals in 40 minutes. It was one of 11 games that Goodwin played at least 40 minutes.

Note: In his third professional season, Goodwin has also played in the G League with the Stockton Kings and Salt Lake City Stars. The Gold are affiliated with the Denver Nuggets.

☘ Jerian Grant (2010-15)​


Degree: Sociology

Country: Greece

Team: Panathinaikos Aktor Athens

Record: Finished 19-5 and second place in the 13-team Greek Basketball League. Also went 22-16 and seventh place in the 20-team Euro League.

Stats: In 22 GBL games, Grant averaged 6.7 points, 0.8 rebounds, 3.1 assists and 0.5 steals in 19.7 minutes. He shot .455 percent from the field, .550 from 3 and .778 from the foul line.

In 42 Euro League games, Grant averaged 6.9 points, 1.7 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 1.1 steals in 24.1 minutes. He shot .517 percent from the field, .344 from 3 and .815 from the foul line.

Best game: Inan 82-81 victory over Real Madrid on February 3, Grant scored 19 points (7-of-8 from the field) with two rebounds and seven assists in 33 minutes.

Note: One of the top point guards in Greece last season, Grant was listed on the organization’s web site this season as the backup ... small forward. Prior to Blake Wesley in 2022, he had been the last Notre Dame guard selected in the first round of the NBA draft (201, No. 19 overall).

☘ Marcus Hammond (2022-23)​


Degree: Management Consulting

Country: France

Team: Union Poitiers Basket 86

Record: Finished the regular season 24-14 overall and fifth place in the 20-team France Pro B (second division) league. Advanced to final championship round of Pro B playoffs.

Stats: In 43 games (including playoffs), Hammond averaged 14.6 points, 3.5 rebounds, 3.8 assists, 0.1 blocks and 0.8 steals in 28.0 minutes as the team’s starting shooting guard. He shot .509 percent from the field, .355 from 3 and .784 from the foul line.

Best game: In a 100-87 victory over Gries-Souffel on January 16, Hammond scored a season-high 31 points with seven rebounds in 29 minutes.

Note: From the start of the season on October 10, 2025, until near the end of the regular season on May 24, 2026, Hammond did not score double figures only six times. In five of the last seven games, he finished in single figures for points. The 25-year-old was the last former Irish to finish his season. The last game for his team in France was June 18.

☘ Prentiss Hubb (2018-22)​


Degree: Film, Television, Theatre

Country: Italy

Team: Tortona

Record: Finished league play 17-11 and fifth place in the 15-team Italy-Serie A (highest level) league.

Stats: In 34 overall games, Hubb averaged 11.7 points, 1.8 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 0.6 steals in 22.8 minutes per game. He shot .519 percent from the field, .382 from 3 and .667 from the foul line.

Best game: In a 103-84 victory over Trento on April 12, Hubb scored 10 points with seven rebounds and a season-high 11 assists in 25 minutes.

Note: A four-year starter at point guard who played in 125 games with 117 starts for the Irish, Hubb was listed as Tortona’s starting small forward. Former Connecticut point guard Chistian Vital was the starter and backed up by former Vanderbilt point guard Ezra Mangon. Hubb has also played professionally in Germany and Greece.

☘ Nikita Konstantynovskyi (2024-25)​


Degree: Masters in communications (from Monmouth)

Country: Mexico

Teams: Angeles (CIBA COPA), Indios de Juarez (LBE)

Record: Angeles finished 19-17 and fourth place in the 11-team CIBA COPA. Indios finished 5-10 and fourth place in the six-team LBE (third level).

Stats: In 12 games with Angeles, the former Irish power forward averaged 6.1 points, 3.3 rebounds, 0.2 assists and 0.6 blocks in 12.2 minutes. He shot .647 percent from the field and .368 percent from the foul line.

In 15 games for Indios, Konstantynovskyi averaged 15.4 points, 9.7 rebounds and 1.3 assists in 28.4 minutes. He shot .617 percent from the field, .714 from 3 and .583 from the foul line.

Best game: In a 102-94 Indios loss to Apaches on January 31, Konstantynovskyi scored 30 points on 10-of-13 from the field with 12 rebounds in 36 minutes.

Note: A native of Ukraine, Konstantynovskyi spent one season as a graduate transfer at Notre Dame after stops at Northeastern (Oklahoma) A&M, Tulsa and Monmouth.

☘ Nate Laszewski (2018-23)​


Degree: Management Consulting

Country: Israel

Team: Maccabi Raanana

Record: Finished 4-18 and 14th place in the 14-team Israel Winner League.

Stats: Averaged 10.4 points, 5.7 rebounds, 0.4 assists and 0.4 steals in 23.3 minutes over 15 games. Laszewski shot .623 percent from the field, .385 from 3 and .806 from the free throw line.

Best game: In an 85-70 loss to Maccabi Urban Ramat on January 5, Laszewski had 25 points on nine of 13 from the field with five rebounds and one block in 30 minutes.

Note: In three professional seasons, the 26-year-old has played in Greece, Israel, Italy and Taiwan.

☘ John Mooney (2016-20)​


Degree: Management Consulting

Country: Japan

Team: Chiba Jets

Record: Finished 42-18 and second place in the 13-team East Division of the Japan B1 (highest level) League.

Stats: In 28 games as the team’s reserve power forward, Mooney averaged 14.3 points, 11.3 rebounds, 3.2 assists, 0.5 blocks and 0.7 steals in 27.6 minutes. He shot .622 percent from the field, .385 from 3 and .816 from the foul line.

Best game: On November 5, 2025, in an 83-79 victory over Mikawa, Mooney scored 26 points with 13 rebounds, two assists and one steal in 33 minutes.

Note: Mooney posted double doubles for points and rebounds in 16 of his first 28 games. He missed the second half of the regular season – January to May – after suffering a wrist injury in late December.

☘ Cormac Ryan (2019-23)​


Degree: Management Consulting

Country: United States

Teams: Wisconsin Herd (G League) and Milwaukee Bucks (NBA).

Records: Milwaukee finished 32-50 and third place in the five-team Central Division of the Eastern Conference. Wisconsin went 10-26 and 16th place in the 16-team Eastern Conference.

Stats: In 31 games with the Herd, the New York native averaged 20.9 points, 4.6 rebounds, 3.1 assists and 1.5 steals in 31.4 minutes. He shot .557 percent from the field, .423 from 3 and .890 from the foul line.

In 11 games with the Bucks, Ryan averaged 14.3 points, 2.5 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 1.0 steals in 24.5 minutes. He shot .605 percent from the field, .458 from 3 and .923 from the foul line.

Best games: In a 112-104 Wisconsin loss to the Windy City Bulls on February 24, Ryan scored 36 points (six of 10 from 3) with four rebounds and four assists in 43 minutes.

On April 10, in a 125-108 Milwaukee win over Brooklyn, Ryan had 28 points, five rebounds, three assists and a steal in 34 minutes. He played at least 20 minutes in each of his last eight games with the Bucks

Note: An undrafted free agent after finishing his sixth (COVID-19 bonus year) college season at North Carolina in 2024, Ryan has played two professional seasons in the G League with the Oklahoma City Blue (2024-25) and Wisconsin Herd (2025-26), where he earned a two-way contract and was a late-season call-up by Milwaukee.

☘ Trey Wertz (2020-23)​


Degree: Economics

Countries: France, Mexico

Teams: Le Portel (France), Hermosillo (Mexico)

Record: Le Portel finished 10-28 and 16th place out of 16 teams in the Betclic Elite (top league). Hermosillo finished 16-22 and ninth place in the 11-team CIBACOPA (highest level) league.

Stats: In nine games for Le Portel, Wertz averaged 6.8 points, 1.6 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 0.7 steals in 20.1 minutes. He shot .455 percent from the field, .308 from 3 and .625 from the foul line.

In 10 games for Hermosillo, Wertz averaged 5.5 points, 3.0 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 0.5 steals in 22.7 minutes. He shot .412 percent from the field, .184 from 3 and .545 from the foul line.

Best game: In a 103-83 Hermosillo loss to Los Machis on March 24, Wertz scored 10 points with two rebounds and eight assists in 25 minutes.

Note: A transfer from Santa Clara who had his sit-out season flipped to immediate eligibility in 2020 thanks to COVID-19, Wertz has played professionally in four countries (Czech Republic, France, Mexico, North Macedonia) over three seasons.

☘ Blake Wesley (2021-22)​


Degree: N/A

Country: United States

Team: Portland Trail Blazers - NBA

Record: Finished 42-40 and fourth place in the five-team Northwest Division in the Western Conference. Portland won a play-in tournament game against Phoenix to earn the No. 7 seed in the NBA Playoffs, where it lost in the first round to No. 2 seed San Antonio, 4-1.

Stats: In 35 games, the former South Bend Riley High School standout averaged 4.3 points, 1.1 rebounds and 1.8 assists in 10.5 minutes. He shot .523 percent from the field, .278 from 3 and .551 percent from the foul line. He suffered a broken right foot in early November and missed two months of the regular season. He scored one point in five minutes over five playoff games.

Best game: In a 135-101 loss to Atlanta on March 1, Wesley scored 12 points with two rebounds and three assists in 20 minutes.

Note: Wesley played one season with Portland after three with San Antonio, where he was a first-round pick (25th overall) in June 2022. Wesley was traded to Washington last summer, then signed with Portland after his contract was bought out. The 23-year-old is a restricted free agent this summer.

In 156 career NBA games with four starts, Wesley has averaged 4.3 points, 1.5 rebounds and 2.4 assists in 13.8 minutes. He shot .416 percent from the field, .294 from 3 and .617 from the foul line.

☘ Matt Zona (2020-24)​


Degree: Management Consulting

Country: United Kingdom

Team: Cheshire Phoenix

Record: In the nine-team Super League Basketball, Cheshire finished 20-12 and seventh place.

Stats: Listed as the team’s backup small forward at 6-foot-9, 252 pounds, Zona appeared in 37 overall games (league and non-league). He averaged 6.5 points, 3.1 rebounds, 0.5 assists, 0.4 blocks and 0.5 steals in 14.0 minutes. He shot .614 percent from the field, .378 from 3 and .556 from the free throw line.

Holding dual citizenship with Ireland, Zona played four games in the European Championship for Ireland. He averaged 11.3 points, 7.3 rebounds, 0.5 assists, 1.3 blocks and 1.0 steals in 27.5 minutes.

Best game: In a 101-79 victory over Surrey on December 19, 2025, Zona scored 23 points with four rebounds in 21 minutes. In the European Championships for Ireland, Zona scored 18 points with nine rebounds, five blocks and one steal in 37 minutes in a 91-85 victory over Luxembourg on March 2.

Note: After four seasons at Notre Dame, where he scored 130 points with 133 rebounds in 602 minutes, Zona transferred to Fordham for the 2024-25 season where he scored 170 points with 111 rebounds in 557 minutes as a team captain. He started six games for the Rams after starting seven over four seasons for the Irish.
