EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) — One of the guests that might have flown under the radar at the night of memories on Saturday was Castle grad Cam Tilly.
No one in Newburgh would’ve missed him. Tilly became just the 8th Knight to be selected in the MLB Draft.
The right-hander went in the 7th round to the New York Mets.
He says he was excited about the moment but knew there was a long road ahead to achieve his dream.
“I think just continue to trend,” Tilly said. “Trend better, trend upwards, you know you don’t really get all up in a year. So it’s just building one block at a time.”
Pitchers and catchers report on February 11th for the Mets. Baseball is just a couple months away.
