Former Carmel High School and Miami (Ohio) standout Peter Suder will sign a two-way contract with the Los Angeles Lakers after going undrafted Wednesday night, a source confirmed to the IndyStar.
Suder started on two state championship teams at Carmel and was named an Indiana All-Star as a senior. He spent two seasons at Bellarmine before transferring to Miami (Ohio) as a junior. This season he earned Mid-American Conference Player of the Year honors, averaging 14.8 points, 4.6 rebounds, 4.0 assists per game and leading the Red Hawks to a 32-2 season, an undefeated regular season and a win over SMU in the First Four of the NCAA Tournament before a first-round loss to Tennessee.

Teams are allowed to carry three players on two-way contracts. They can play up to 50 games in a season with their NBA team but must also play with their G League affiliate and are not eligible for postseason play. Players on two-way contracts are paid 50% of the rookie minimum salary for a player on a standard contract. Last season two-way players made approximately $636,000 for a full season.
