While Floyd wasn't going to be re-signed anyway, it almost seems like cutting him is more about frustration about our season.

Speaking purely business, I agree. Its the same as keeping Daryl Washington on the books in order to try and get some of that money back.
Something must have gone REAL BAD WRONG for them to cut him.
Nothing more as a fan that I can ask to be done about the situation. Now as a person talking about another person, it sounds like Floyd is in a REAL bad place, hope things turn around for him, and that statement has nothing to do about football.

The cap question is:
Do the Cardinals now take on $7,320,000 in dead money or just 3 games worth of that value ? And does that carry over to 2017, or just sits there for 2016 ?

this was the last year of his deal
and since he was a veteran -- this years money became guaranteed when he was on the opening day roster
this really doesnt have any cap implications

Now I am left to wonder if the "sweep under the rug" comment from TM a couple weeks ago was related to MF. I think we were all a bit perplexed by the comment coming from a member of the D (when that unit had been more than serviceable). When TM made that comment, my first thought was, he talking about a member of the O.
Lets face it, I can think of more than a few balls Carson delivered to MF that he just couldnt bring in. And I am just talking about the deep balls.

Possibly more of a PR move to try and salvage the image of the organization to the fan base.
Feel sorry for the guy, hope he gets his life in order.
