The biggest losers of the Myles Garrett trade are probably the three teams in the NFC West who have to face the Los Angeles Rams twice a year. It makes the Rams significantly better, reinforcing their status as the favorites to win the division in 2026.
Arizona Cardinals linebacker Mack Wilson doesn’t sound the least bit concerned, though. He was asked about the Rams’ trade for Garrett and he says it’s Los Angeles that has to deal with the Cardinals.
“They got to deal with us,” he said confidently. “At the end of the day, they got to deal with us.”
Looking at the latest Super Bowl odds, the Cardinals probably won’t be much to deal with this season. They’re tied with the Browns, Jets and Dolphins as the biggest long shot to win it all at +25000, according to FanDuel Sportsbook. The Rams are on the other side of the spectrum as the favorites (+550).
At +25000, that gives the Cardinals an implied probability of only 0.4% to win the Super Bowl.
The Rams have also owned the Cardinals since Sean McVay took over as the head coach in 2017. They’re 16-3 against the Cardinals in the last nine seasons, including a playoff win over Arizona in 2021.
Los Angeles won’t overlook the Cardinals this season, but it’s certainly not the team the Rams are most concerned about.
