in that scenario Moklerman would count against whoever's cap we moved Kurt to.

:D

I think it would be nuts to trade him, and I doubt there's much trade market for a guy his age, he can still play in spurts but he's more valuable to us as a player than as tradebait.

can you guys please take you argument somewhere else. I posted this thread so fans could debate if they believe Warner is worth keeping on the roster after they know they numbers since I believe that is a big piece in making a decision on keeping a player or parting ways
I will argue with DCR wherever I please.:D

Last year the Cards were having to invent ways to meet the minimum spending requirements and people are talking about cutting productive players to create cap room?????????????????????

I like baseball a lot better where if you have the money you can pay 'em. If you don't then sell your franchise and stay on the porch.

All the salary cap does is ensure the same teams win every year in the AFC and NFC teams take turns going from 8-8 to 12-4 to 6-10.

Unfortunately, Warner has yet to compensate me for my efforts. I don't think I've changed anyone's mind about anything at all either. I guess my plan to do this and retire off of the profits was ill-advised?

This is a good point and I think that until the NFL adopts some kind of NBA style cap/chart for what rookies can make, it will remain the same. I don't think there's another sport that is a better candidate for rewarding it's veterans.

Are you kidding me? I'm actually arguing that we stay on topic for you.

Damn skippy. Besides cardsfanmd, it looks like he wanted opinions instead of facts. Ugh.

What a nightmare of a question. Best backup QB in the NFL who could start for the Bears, MN, Atlanta, and other teams. I think the guy makes around 3-4 mil a year (guess). This is the last year of his contract. There IMHO is a 50/50 chance he will see a lot of playing time for us next year. If not him then who?
