Quinn Hughes has continued his sweep of the Vancouver Canucks season team awards, winning yet another before the start of the second period. Hughes has won the Daniel and Henrik Sedin Award for community leadership, making this his third award of the season.

This is not Hughes’ first time winning this award. He won last season as well, following his charitable actions towards BC’s firefighter community after the fires in West Kelowna. In the same year, he launched his ticket donation program, “Team 43,” which allows firefighters to take in a game as a guest of Hughes himself.
“I think it’s important to do good in the community and do nice things for people that sacrifice so much,” Hughes had said upon the program’s start. “They put themselves in harm's way for the community and the city, so it’s just something nice I felt I could do.”
Hughes has also been nominated for the King Clancy Award this season, which is given “to the player who best exemplifies leadership qualities on and off the ice and has made a noteworthy humanitarian contribution in his community.”
