Throughout the draft process, former Duke forward Cameron Boozer has been knocked due to his perceived lack of athleticism and his rigid frame. For that reason, some NBA scouts have UNC forward Caleb Wilson ahead of him in their mock drafts.

But Boozer proved those doubters wrong throughout the 2026 NBA Draft Combine, showcasing tremendous speed for his size.

Despite weighing in 42 pounds heavier than the Tar Heel, Boozer was quicker in the pro lane sprint and in the shuttle drill. Furthermore, Boozer was also faster than last year's No. 1 overall selection in each of these two drills, another former Blue Devil, Cooper Flagg.

Boozer also showcased exceptional shooting, especially for his size, tying Darryn Peterson (Kansas) in the spot shooting drill.

With all of this in mind, the 2025-26 Naismith Player of the Year may not only solidify himself as a top-three pick; he may also find a chance to crack the top two.
