New York Giants running back Cam Skattebo has walked back insensitive comments he made about CTE and asthma on a recent podcast.
In an Instagram story, Skattebo has apologized for "a lapse in judgment, which resulted in me making a tasteless joke about CTE and asthma. It was never my intention to downplay the seriousness of head injures or asthma."
On a recent episode of the Frank Dalena podcast Bring the Juice, Skattebo said he didn't believe CTE was real and that the serious brain disease is "an excuse."
He also said asthma is an excuse and joked that people suffering from it should just breathe air normally.
Those comments were obviously boneheaded, so we're glad to see Skattebo apologize for them.
