Following a season that saw them reach the WNBA playoffs for the first time since 2016, Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever have their sights set on a title push in 2025.
The Fever made some major offseason additions to make that more of a possibility and not put all the pressure on Clark to get the team through the playoffs.
They brought in two-time WNBA champion Sydney Colson, sharpshooter Sophie Cunningham who has made 36.2% of her career threes, two-time WNBA All-Defensive team selection Brianna Turner and two-time WNBA champ Natasha Howard.
However, the headliner of their offseason additions is undoubtedly two-time WNBA champion and six-time WNBA All-Star, DeWanna Bonner.
While Bonner is 37-years-old, her playoff experience and leadership abilities have already made a difference in Indiana. Clark recently told The Athletic's James Boyd that Bonner was what the team was missing in 2024.
“D.B’s been tremendous, and, obviously, not only as a leader. She’s a tremendous basketball player, too,” Clark said. “She’s won championships. She knows what it is. So when she speaks, everybody listens. I think that’s a piece of the thing we were missing last year.”

With all of the new players, there may be some growing pains as roles are established, but led by new head coach Stephanie White, who was named the league's coach of the year in 2023, this Fever squad may be one of the deepest teams in the league.
Fans will get their first look at this new star-studded roster on Saturday as Clark and the Fever will take on the Washington Mystics in their first preseason bout. They will then take on Brazil in an exhibition game that is reportedly drawing so much buzz, it's set to be the most expensive game of Clark's entire career whether it be college or the WNBA.
As they were last year, this Fever squad will be one of major talking points of the WNBA season.
