Despite leading the Indiana Fever (20-11) to a 90–86 victory over the Chicago Sky (11-20) at the United Center on Saturday afternoon, Caitlin Clark picked up her eighth technical foul call of the season late in the third quarter, which could subject the former Hawkeye to an automatic one-game suspension.

The incident that earned Clark the technical foul did not appear to be aggressive in nature, as the videos showed the three-time WNBA All-Star inadvertently bumping into an official on the baseline after being forced out of bounds.

The WNBA reviews every technical foul called for the possibility of resending the call, and the league made that determination fairly quickly. The league has chosen to rescind the technical foul, according to reporter Scott Agness. Clark will be available for Tuesday's matchup against the New York Liberty at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.

News: WNBA has rescinded the technical foul on Caitlin Clark, which would’ve been her eighth of the season — and an automatic one-game suspension, keeping her out of Fever-Liberty on Tuesday.

That was fast. Kudos to the league for handling it so quickly.

Clark is averaging 21.5 points on 44.1% shooting, 34.1 percent from three-point range, and 86.2% from the free-throw line, alongside 8.0 assists and 3.9 rebounds per game.
