The Indiana Fever played their second game of the preseason on Sunday, and it was a special one for Caitlin Clark.
After averaging 19.2 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 8.4 assists per game in her rookie season in the WNBA, she took the court at Carver-Hawkeye Arena on the University of Iowa campus for the first time since her senior year.
Clark missed Saturday's preseason opener, but wouldn't miss a return to Iowa on Sunday as the Fever faced off against the Brazilian National Team.
To one's surprise, the 6-foot guard put on a show. Along with sinking a 36-foot three-pointer from the logo, which had her former Iowa teammate Gabbie Marshall on her feet, Clark tallied 16 points, knocked down four threes, and added six rebounds and five assists.
The Fever cruised to a dominant 108–44 victory, and Clark spoke to the media after the game. She admitted it felt "weird" walking into the locker room again after spending four seasons at Iowa and breaking more than a few records.
"It's hard to put into words how much it means to me," the reigning WNBA Rookie of the Year said. "I'm very thankful to be able to come back to a place that continues to support me. It was a little weird going into the locker room."

Clark is Iowa’s all-time leading scorer, the NCAA Division I all-time leading scorer, holds the Big Ten record for most weekly honors, and set the Iowa single-season record for three-pointers made (201), among other achievements.
The 23-year-old also led Iowa to two national championship game appearances, three Big Ten Tournament titles, and one Big Ten regular season championship.
