Caitlin Clark dominant as Indiana Fever head into All-Star break with runaway win vs Sun

INDIANAPOLIS — The Indiana Fever enter the All-Star break on a three game win streak after they defeated the Connecticut Sun 123-88 on Wednesday at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.

Caitlin Clark had 27 points and 11 assists. Kelsey Mitchell had 23 points, while Aliyah Boston posted 22, six and five.

The Fever are 17-10 and atop the Eastern Conference. They are fifth in the league entering the All-Star break and are 4.5 games out of first.

What I liked in the Indiana Fever's win vs Connecticut Sun​

• Dominant first quarter for Kelsey Mitchell and Caitlin Clark: This game was over in the first quarter. Mitchell and Clark made sure of it. Mitchell notched 11 points on 4 of 6 shooting in the opening period. Her backcourt partner scored the same on 4 of 5 shooting. The pair averaged a combined 44 points per game entering Wednesday’s contest. They had 50 in the win.
• Aliyah Boston’s vision: Boston showed she’s more than dominant post presence. The 6-foot-5 center dished out four assists in the first half. Her average this season is 2.7 per game. Boston had more assists than guards Mitchell and Tyasha Harris in the first half. Boston finished the game with five assists to go along with her three steals, six rebounds and 22 points.

What I disliked in the Indiana Fever's win vs Connecticut Sun​

• Caitlin Clark needs to chill, bro: Clark received a technical foul with 28 seconds lefts in the third quarter after telling Sun guard Saniya Rivers to “look at the f---king scoreboard.” It was 95-67. That’s her seventh technical this season. One more and the Fever guard will be suspended. When asked if she needs to change her approach with a suspension looming at practice Monday, Clark said, “No.” She won’t chill. But hey, do you, big sis.

What the Indiana Fever's win vs Connecticut Sun means​

Indiana enters the All-Star break with a 17-10 record, including a 10-5 home record, and are fifth in the league. Indiana won five of their first six games coming out of the 2025 All-Star break. Coach Stephanie White’s time will look to replicate that stretch and more after closing the remaining 15 games 6-9. The biggest difference this year, though? Clark is available after missing the second half of last season with a right groin injury.
