The 2026 FIFA World Cup final disappointed many soccer fans, especially WNBA star Caitlin Clark and those rooting for Lionel Messi and Argentina.
Spain is now a two-time World Cup champion after defeating Argentina during Sunday’s finale. Clark isn’t afraid to share her thoughts on the matter though when addressing media the day after the biggest game in soccer.

Clark spoke to the media Monday after the World Cup Final and delivered her hot take regarding the Argentina-Spain affair.
The Indiana Fever star only needed one word to sum up her thoughts on the concluding soccer match. However, it’s evident that Clark isn’t too pleased with the way that the 2026 tournament finished in North America.

Clark managed to sum up the World Cup final with the word “boring” after Spain held Argentina scoreless and without a shot on target for over 90 minutes. This marks the first time ever in World Cup history that a team didn’t record a shot on goal during regulation.
The Fever guard is normally busy dropping points on the WNBA’s best players. However, it’s evident that soccer is another sport that she regularly watches when not on the court.
Clark’s appeared at many other sporting events in the past, including several NBA and NFL games. She’s even revealed that she’s a big Kansas City Chiefs fan after becoming friends with longtime Chiefs star Travis Kelce.
