The Buffs have always worked the portal, and when so many players leave for the portal, what choice do you have?

That has been the case the last few weeks at cornerback. After having what was probably the best corner room in the conference in 2024, then taking a big step back in 2025, changes were expected. With that in mind, the first portal addition at cornerback is JMU’s Justin Eaglin.

Eaglin is a 6 foot, 177 pound corner from Spring Lake, North Carolina. He spent the last four years at James Madison and made his first College Football Playoff appearance a few weeks ago. He arrives in Boulder with one year of eligibility and clear goals, take a step, lock down a starting job, and put pro caliber tape out there.

Last season Eaglin posted 35 tackles, 5 interceptions, 8 pass breakups, and a blocked kick for a playoff team. He plays with quick feet, good eyes in zone, and enough recovery speed to live on an island when asked.
Colorado lost all three starters at corner, so do not be surprised if the staff adds another one or two players at the position in the coming weeks and months. The room needs experience and competition, and Eaglin is a strong first piece.

We will have all the portal news for you, so stay tuned, and as always, Sko Buffs.
