The Buccaneers faithful are buying stock in Emeka Egbuka’s future.
In this week’s SB Nation Reacts poll, only eight percent of Buccaneers fans believe Egbuka is headed for a sophomore slump, meaning a whopping 92 percent expect the second-year receiver to keep building on an impressive rookie campaign.

It’s easy to see why the optimism is there. Egbuka burst onto the scene in 2025, hauling in 63 receptions for 938 yards and six touchdowns while becoming one of Baker Mayfield’s most reliable targets. He led Tampa Bay in receiving yards and showcased the polished route running and dependable hands that made him a first-round pick.
With another offseason under his belt and an even stronger chemistry developing with Mayfield, expectations are understandably high. Nothing is guaranteed in the NFL, but if his rookie season was any indication, Bucs fans have every reason to believe Egbuka’s best football is still ahead of him.
