2026 All-Area Softball: Coach of the Year / All-Area Teams / Team of the Year
North Penn softball has become synonymous with standout pitching over the past decade.
While there are few certainties in sports, or life, a North Penn pitcher putting up excellent numbers is as close to a guarantee that you can find.
Even so, looking at Felicia Connolly’s senior season might cause a double take.
Her regular season ERA? A miniscule 0.40. She pitched a no-hitter against a district finalist, and she threw a perfect game against a playoff team.
She opened the postseason for the Knights with a three-hit, 17-strikeout performance against Perkiomen Valley in the second round of the District One Class 6A playoffs, giving up one earned run in the complete-game win. In four playoff games, Connolly allowed 21 hits, 10 walks and seven earned runs while striking out 47 batters in 29 innings.
Connolly went 16-1 during the regular season, leading the Knights to their ninth consecutive division title, and was named the SOL Colonial Player of the Year.

After an impeccable season, Connolly was named the Bucks County Courier Times and Phillyburbs.com Softball Player of the Year.
Connolly, who graduated this spring, committed to Division 1 Villanova prior to her junior year, before she had pitched a game for the Knights. After Bella Nunn’s graduation, Connolly stepped into the circle as a junior. After battling an early-season injury, she posted a 2.81 ERA with 140 strikeouts in the regular season.
She returned for her senior season to blow those numbers out of the water.
In 104 innings in the regular season, she struck out 189 batters while walking only 25. Helping her cause at the plate, she hit .285 with 11 RBIs. Her efforts earned her first-team All-State honors.
She had many memorable games as the Knights went 19-1 en route to clinching the No. 1 seed in the district playoffs.
Connolly struck out 18 batters while giving up a single hit and two walks to close out the regular season with a 6-1 win over New Hope-Solebury and secure top seeding; she allowed a lone hit and a single walk while striking out 16 batters in a complete-game shutout of CB West.

A week after throwing a complete-game no-hitter against Souderton, Connolly pitched a perfect game against Quakertown. There were zeroes across the board for Connolly ― except in the strikeout column, as she fanned 15 batters, needing just 78 pitches to claim the 2-0 victory.
Connolly even took her talents south, where she tossed a one-hit, complete-game shutout in Alabama against Helena High School, striking out nine in the win.
In the Knights’ final game of the season, Connolly went up against the defending state champions, Central Dauphin, in a PIAA Class 6A first-round game. She went six strong innings, giving up two earned runs and striking out eight, though the Knights fell 3-1 after three errors in the field.
